many
people
visit
Iceland,
but
end
up
missing
out
on
the
country's
best
views.
This
guide
was
created
for
those
who
want
to
unplug,
get
off
the
beaten
path
when
possible,
and
see
the
best
of
the
best
views
in
the
country!
Summer
Best
for
hiking,
camping,
and
sightseeing.
With
long
days,
warm
weather,
and
open
mountain
roads.
June
through
July
is
the
best
time
to
experience
the
midnight
sun,
However,
summer
is
also
the
busiest
time
of
year,
Winter
Best
for
the
northern
lights
and
geothermal
spas.
Winter
also
offers
the
opportunity
to
explore
Iceland's
caves,
including
glacier
caves
with
deep
blue
walls.
Spring
Best
for
nature
lovers,
with
less
crowds
and
mild
weather.
Spring
is
also
when
the
snow
melts
and
the
landscape
turns
green,
with
lots
of
wildlife
to
see.
However,
some
roads
may
still
be
closed
due
to
snow.
Fall
A
beautiful
time
with
longer
nights
and
bold
colors.
Fall
is
also
when
the
first
glimpses
of
the
northern
lights
appear.

Restaurants
Einstök Bar
Google:
This
is
a
superb
bar
with
a
chilled
vibe.
They
have
a
great
selection
of
excellent
beers,
wines
and
cocktails.
For
beer
drinkers
try
the
White
Ale
with
an
orange
slice
in
it….yes,
that’s
right-
it
tastes
great.
The
bar
staff
are
always
excellent
and
take
a
pride
in
their
service.
There
is
a
generous
3
hour
happy
hour
(the
menu
states
the
products
included
for
HH)
from
4-7pm.
Reykjavik Roasters
Google:
Every
time
I
visit
Iceland,
Reykjavik
Roasters
is
always
among
my
first
and
last
stops.
They
have
great
coffee,
all
roasted
in-house,
good
vibes,
and
friendly
staff.
There
is
no
wifi,
as
they
encourage
good
conversations
instead
of
doom
scrolling,
so
if
you
need
to
get
some
work
done,
this
isn't
the
best
place.
Icelandic Street Food
Google:
Pint-sized,
local
cafe
offering
an
array
of
hearty
Icelandic
comfort
dishes
in
a
cheerful
setting.
KRÖST
Google:
This
place
is
a
relaxed
grill
&
wine
bar
with
burgers
&
hearty
traditional
mains.
Lebowski Bar
Google:
This
American-themed
bar
(lol)
has
amazing
burgers.
A
burger
and
a
pint
of
Guinness
for
around
$16
which
is
pretty
good
for
Reykjavik.
Activities
Mulagljufur Canyon
Google:
My
favorite
hike
of
the
trip,
this
canyon
literally
blew
me
away.
From
the
distance,
you
can
see
a
glacier,
and
when
you
get
to
the
top,
you're
greeted
by
huge
cliffs,
two
cascading
waterfalls
and
a
beautiful
mountain
peak.
Great
spot
to
bring
a
drone
if
you
have
one!
Dynjandi
Google:
This
waterfall
literally
took
my
breath
away.
It's
a
bit
out
of
the
way,
but
it's
totally
worth
the
drive
-
especially
if
you're
going
up
to
see
Bird
Cliff
as
well.
When
you
park,
there's
a
short
hike,
and
it
will
not
disappoint.
Hvammsvik Hot Springs
Google:
A
lesser-known,
but
stunning
hot
springs.
PLUS,
it's
near
the
beautiful
Glymur
waterfall.
Skógafoss-Waterfall
Google:
One
of
the
most
iconic
and
beautiful
waterfalls,
this
spot
requires
no
hiking.
Just
drive
up,
find
a
parking
spot,
and
prepare
to
get
soaked!
You
can
either
walk
up
to
the
base
of
the
waterfall,
or
climb
the
stairs
on
the
right
to
get
a
view
from
the
top.
Goðafoss Waterfall
Google:
One
of
Iceland's
popular
waterfalls
-
definitely
worth
a
stop
